What does an AI audit cost?
EUR 500–1,500 all-in. The SLIM subsidy covers up to 60% of eligible costs for qualifying Dutch SMEs. The launch audit is free in exchange for honest feedback — that is the entry point, not the product.
No hourly caps, no system access, no hidden additions. One 30-minute call and three opportunities in writing.
What you get — and what it costs
| What | What you get | Cost |

| Launch audit | 30-minute call, three opportunities ranked by impact, written report, automation boundary mapped. In exchange for honest written feedback. | Free while launch slots last |
| AI audit | Same content as the launch audit, without the feedback requirement. Covers preparation and the written report. | EUR 500–1,500 all-in (post-launch) |
| Paid pilot | One workflow built, tested, and handed over as a runbook — including a human review step and audit trail of every prompt and output. Scope determines price. | EUR 3,500–7,500 depending on scope |
All prices are all-in. No travel costs (calls are online), no hourly caps, no additions if the report took longer than expected.
SLIM subsidy: up to 60% of audit costs covered
The SLIM-regeling (Stimulering Leren en Ontwikkelen in het MKB) covers advisory costs for learning and development projects, including organizational scans and advice. An AI audit that maps the working practices and learning needs of a team falls within the eligible category in principle.
What you need to know:
- Qualifying SME: fewer than 250 employees, annual turnover under EUR 50 million or balance sheet under EUR 43 million.
- Subsidy rate: up to 60% of eligible costs for smaller SMEs.
- Minimum project size: the SLIM subsidy has threshold amounts per application round — a combined audit-plus-pilot engagement is more likely to qualify in full than a standalone audit.
- RVO decides: we are not the subsidy authority. We document the audit in a way that supports an application; RVO assesses eligibility.

The questions that matter
What does an AI audit cost at Orellis?
EUR 500–1,500 all-in. That covers preparation, a 30-minute call, and a written assessment of three opportunities ranked by impact — including where AI is not the right fit. No system access, no long-term contract.
Can the Dutch SLIM subsidy cover an AI audit?
Yes, if your business qualifies as an SME and the audit meets the SLIM criteria. The SLIM subsidy covers up to 60% of eligible costs. Whether your specific situation qualifies is for RVO to assess — we document the audit in a way that supports a subsidy application.
Why is the launch audit free?
We are set up for AI audit work, but this is the start. In exchange for a free audit we ask for honest written feedback: what was right, what was missing, what you would want to see. That is the entry point — for you, a way to see what an audit delivers without financial risk; for us, the feedback loop that sharpens the product. The launch audit is free while slots last.
What is not included in the audit cost?
The audit maps opportunities and boundaries — it does not deliver a built workflow. If after the audit you want us to build and hand over a workflow, that is a separate pilot engagement. We are set up to deliver pilots at EUR 3,500–7,500 depending on scope. System access, legal advice, and GDPR compliance assessment fall outside the audit — we document the design decisions, your advisors sign off on them.
How does the audit price relate to what the SLIM subsidy covers?
A combined audit-plus-pilot engagement (EUR 4,000–9,000) is more likely to qualify in full than a standalone audit at EUR 500, which may fall below the threshold. We explain this per situation. For current thresholds: rvo.nl.
Are there hidden costs?
No. The audit price covers preparation, the call, and the written report. No hourly caps, no additions, no travel costs. If something falls outside scope, we say so upfront.
What this page cannot answer
Whether your specific situation qualifies for the SLIM subsidy depends on your business size, the application round, and the specific project description. This is not subsidy advice. RVO decides — we help document.
Pilot prices are indicative and depend on scope. A 30-minute call makes clear what your specific situation requires.
We review everything before it goes live. This page was drafted with our own AI stack and reviewed by a human before publication. That review discipline is the product.
